Retrograde planets
From Earth, a planet sometimes seems to drift backwards among the stars for a while. When it does, it is called retrograde. Many people find such weeks an invitation to slow down and look again. You are welcome to notice whether that is true for you.
- Mercury is retrograde until 13 November. You could revisit the words you have spoken or the plans you have made, and see whether they still sound like you.
- Venus is retrograde until 14 November. Perhaps you are welcome to look again at what you love and value, and whether your days reflect it.
- Saturn is retrograde until 11 December. What structures and responsibilities are you carrying, and which of them still feel supportive rather than heavy?

Strength speaks quietly today, and the sun in Scorpio adds a touch of depth to its message. This card points to a courage that looks more like gentleness than force. You are welcome to meet whatever stirs in you with patience and compassion, the way you might calm a frightened animal. Frequently asked questions
What phase is the moon in today?
Last quarter today, 33% lit, with the moon in Virgo. The next full moon is on 24 November and the next new moon on 9 November. The top of this page is new every day, so you can always come back to it.
What does retrograde mean?
A planet is called retrograde when it seems, from Earth, to move backwards across the sky for a while. It is an optical effect: the planet keeps orbiting as usual. In astrology such a period is often seen as an invitation to look back and revisit things. Whether that rings true for you is yours to discover.
How often is Mercury retrograde?
Three or four times a year, for roughly three weeks each time. On this page you can see whether Mercury is retrograde right now and when it ends.
Is this a prediction?
No. The positions of the moon and planets are calculated, and what they might mean for you is up to you. Think of it as a question to pause with. Astrology and tarot are here for entertainment and reflection, not to predict the future.
