Privacy statement
Who is responsible
[legal name], trading as Selendora, is the controller for the processing described here. Our business details are on the legal notice page. For privacy questions, e-mail [contact e-mail].
In short
No accounts, no tracking or advertising cookies, no profiling, no sale of data, and no automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. We process as little as possible.
Your question and cards
To write a reading, our server first checks your question automatically for signs of crisis, then sends your question, cards and language to our AI provider Anthropic PBC (USA), which acts as our processor. Legal basis: providing the reading you ask for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not store your question or reading. Anthropic does not use them for training and deletes them within 30 days, or within up to 2 years if its automated safety systems flag them. Your question is optional: please leave out names, contact details, health details and details about other people.
Paid readings
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your e-mail address, name, payment method details, country and IP address. In our Stripe account we see your e-mail address, name, country, the last digits of your card, the amount, the chosen spread, your language and your consent to immediate delivery. We use this to deliver and confirm your purchase, to handle refunds and complaints, and to meet our tax obligations (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR). We keep these records for 7 years, as Dutch tax law requires. Stripe also acts as an independent controller for fraud prevention and its own legal obligations; see stripe.com/privacy.
IP address and security
We keep your IP address in memory for up to 24 hours to count free readings, and our hosting provider PlanetNode keeps technical logs (IP address, time, page) for 90 days to keep the service secure. From your IP address we derive your country, without storing it, to check whether paid readings may be offered there. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in preventing abuse, controlling costs and complying with laws in other countries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object to this processing.
Storage on your device
Your settings, card of the day, moon journal, notes and collection are stored only in your browser's local storage, because you use these features. This storage is strictly necessary for them, so no consent is needed. We never receive this data. You can delete it all at once with the button at the bottom of this page or in your moon journal, or by clearing your browser data. The moon code contains no personal data. Birth and year card calculations happen only in your browser. Readings you choose to save are kept there too, with your question only if you tick that box.
Contacting us
If you e-mail us, we use your message and e-mail address to reply, and delete them 12 months after your question has been handled (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Recipients and transfers
Our processors are Anthropic PBC (USA, AI), Stripe (EU and USA, payments) and PlanetNode (Netherlands, hosting). Transfers outside the EU are protected by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and, where the recipient is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. Because we do not store questions or readings, we usually cannot link them to you. To exercise your rights, e-mail [contact e-mail]; we respond within one month. You may also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or to the authority in your country.
Age
Selendora is not intended for anyone under 18 and is not directed to children. If you believe a minor has given us personal data, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this statement when our service changes. Version [date].
Your data in this browser
Your journal, collection, saved readings, profile and settings live only in this browser. Here you can delete all of it at once. Save your moon code first if you want to restore your collection later.
